Animal Haiku group E Arun - Cory Daniel - double up -or Mary Beth Prajit - Trevor Myla - Carolyn
Myla Oreo Chubby and fluffy She is black and white and shy She sleeps on the car
Basks in the hot sun Licks people if they go near Sneaks around the yard
Prajit large sized husky licks gray, white, sharp little claws pointy ears, brave, big
has very soft fur fun to play with sharp, big teeth I miss her so much
Prajit - I love your word choice for the dog! I have a dog too, but he's small and shy, not big and brave. I'm sorry you miss your dog, it's hard when you miss something a lot. My favorite line is "gray, white, sharp little claws". Good job! Hi Trevor, I wonder what your dog's name is? I like the things you said about my poem. they made me feel happy and proud. Prajit
Arun
follows happily runs jumps furry athletic he is a boy dog
is the color white has black spots and floppy ears does not bite at all
Arun - Great descriptive words for the dog, i especially like the floppy ears. Nice last line too, it's good to know that the dog doesn't bite! What kind of dog is he? Do you play fetch with him? Does he know any tricks?
Cory
lounging belly up long, silky fur exploding around four pink paws
leaping through the air sliding over the floor, meow! talking kitty cat
Hi Cory,
I like your haiku also. I like how you say lounging belly up. I do play tricks with Poogy. He's a shitzu and he's little.
Arun Daniel bumpy skin tiny legs Hi Daniel, I just realized that my haiku didn't get posted. nearly frighten, leaps so high tries to escape, caught
brown and orange skin bumpy on top, smooth bottom escaped forever
Here it is:
Sweet, smelly dog tears the squeakers from her toys sleeps warm on my bed
Here's a couple more. Once you get into thinking this way, haikus seem to keep arriving.
My three-legged cat hops around the neighborhood stretches in the sun
Toad along the path springs suddenly out of view I search; he blends in
Walking on the path mud puddles from all the rain Plop! Plop! Frogs leap in
